Hippo Pockets is coming to 48th and Chicago.
Hippo Pockets which is part of Centro in NE has been operating out of their flagship store and doing pop ups around town. They are now setting up a permanent spot at the former Herbie Fried Chicken space at 735 E 48th St across from Turtle Bread.
Described as "flying saucers of crunch" Hippo Pockets are tortilla wrapped sandwich like creations.
The restaurant is shooting for an early June opening.
